This episode of FNX NOW includes conversations with Huichol artist Henry Andrade, more commonly known as MC RedCloud. His first book, an adult coloring book, published by his longtime partner Crystle Lightning is titled Indigenous Legends: Extraordinary Natives A to Z published in 2017. That book was followed by Crystle Lightning Presents: Indigenous Legends: Extraordinary Native Women and a third book Indigenous Legends II. The pair known as the musical duo LightningCloud regularly appear on the FNX music series the AUX. Also featured is Grandmother Spider Brings the Sun. The Children's book which was released in 1997, is a Cherokee creation story as told by Navajo Nation actress and storyteller Geri Keams (The Outlaw Josey Wales, Northern Exposure). The book was animated in 2012 by the FNX team and currently airs as an interstitial narrated by Geri Keams during a visit to the FNX Studio. Her follow up book Snqail Girl Brings Water: A Navajo Story is also mentioned. The 2020 book Journey of the Freckled Indian: A Tlingit Culture Story published by former Ms. Alaska Alyssa London from the Haida & Tlingit Tribes was also featured on this FNX NOW segment.
